This heart detail is from the shutters on the wee chalet or "mazot" where our friend Alex Fandel lived in Le Planet in the Chamonix valley in France. Sadly, we lost Alex a few years ago, and our heart shutter photo reminds us of his wonderful adventurous spirit, his lust for life, and his generous nature - his open-heartedness. We miss him.
