At the Signal Forbes the Grand Balcon Nord route reaches a point at the corner of the ridge where the view opens up onto the Vallee Blanche glacier. In this photo you can see the mountains on the left on the other side of the Chamonix valley, and the peaks of Les Drus peaking up over the boulder built, lichen covered staircase.
